Cincinnati Type & Print Museum
The Cincinnati Type & Print Museum is free to visit and open by appointment Monday through Friday at 10:00am, 12:00pm, or 2:00pm.
We are a working museum located in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Lower Price Hill. This means the equipment you see is fully functional, and still being used on a regular basis. You will get a hands-on look at the history of printing in the Greater Cincinnati Area, and have the chance to put ink on paper yourself!
COVID-19: While we are no longer requiring guests to wear a mask, our staff/volunteers will gladly wear a mask ourselves at the request of any visitor.
A message from the Founder and Director, Gary Walton:
MORE THAN JUST A BUILDING
THIS MUSEUM GIVES HOPE TO THE PEOPLE OF PRICE HILL
Our Purpose is Multifold:
• To preserve the history of printing and make people aware of the career opportunities in print media.
• To create an environment for artists to make handmade paper and print letterpress items.
• To break the cycle of addiction by providing training, jobs, and dignity to the people of Price Hill.
The museum facility is powered by BLOC Ministries, and our goal is to provide jobs to the people of Price Hill and give them a safe space to learn life skills. It is our hope that being able to provide for themselves will bring a sense of dignity and help break the cycle of addiction in our community.
